The global music industry is often shaped by Western traditions and systems, creating limitations for artists from our region. From tools and technologies to expectations of “authenticity,” these frameworks influence how cultural identities are expressed in music.
But what happens when we reclaim our sonic heritage? Can music challenge dominant paradigms without adhering to identity markers? And how can innovation in tools and techniques help artists create on their own terms?
Many questions raise themselves when thinking about this topic and we want to address and discuss them, collectively, with you and with our panelists:
