Where are our cultural players in times of war, and what are they doing?
L'Agenda Culturel went to meet them, interview them and listen to their stories.
Rana Raouda, painter. Lives in Beirut.
I have to admit that when I was first offered to participate in those "confessions at times of war”, I had second thoughts.
Who would be interested in my daily activities, I am pushing myself to paint and stay in the LIGHT and TRUTH as this is my moto in my work. Through Music which helps a lot, and trying to deal with the situation outside.
I did not have anything real positive and authentic to share except heartache desolation hopelessness and anger towards all this human sufferance;
As time passed, I heard again Myriam telling me when we discussed it, ¨ but it could help others ¨
She is right. If there is one percent of a chance someone reading this and wanting to know more, than it would have served the purpose.
Now that I pulled myself together, I am pleased to share the following.
These sentences that we take for granted. To change the outside world around us we have to change the inside world within us.
More than ever, this is taking all its meaning.
We should be careful with our thoughts and limiting beliefs.
With those devastating times we are living I realized that helping outside can only start with helping me. How does one stay connected, uplifted and grounded. How does one make a positive difference.
I had the opportunity to participate in several programs online that helped tremendously.
Soma Breathing. If anyone is interested, I will be more than glad to share all my links and experiences.
The benefits of breathing have been proved scientifically.
…” breathing, connect with the Divine within us and raise our energy and open our heart we renew our hope and faith and expand a consciousness of love and healing in the world instead of fear. ¨ Lena Bahou
Am truly convinced that each and every one of us can contribute for peace in the world by starting to elevate oneself from judgment negativity and limiting beliefs. We have the power to make a change in the world.
As an artist painter it is easy to visualize, and imagine.
Let's open the door for everyone.
Now imagine a world JUST with NO VIOLENCE
Filled with LOVE and COMMUNICATION and embracing our differences as they are the real wealth.
Please let's all visualize now and all of us together, our Lebanon as a real country with real institutions and its full potential at work.
Here I have an inspiration. For each and every one
How about writing or drawing or even dreaming out loud how you see our healed country in the very near future? What do you imagine in it? How does it feel to live in it? How does it feel to imagine everyone in it happy and safe?
Imagine each and every one of us being the better version of ourselves in it
Can you just imagine??
I can!
