L'Agenda Culturel went to meet them, interview them and listen to their stories.
Tony Ward, Fashion designer. Lives in Beirut.
How are you doing?
I’m doing my best under such circumstances.
What is your daily life like in a time of war?
Being beside my people, my employees and my friends.
How do you continue your artistic activity?
Maintaining my artistic activity in times of war is incredibly challenging when everything feels uncertain. However, these difficult moments often evoke powerful emotions that can inspire creativity in many ways. Living under constant stress, I try to make the ‘best’ out of the situation by breaking barriers and creating more. It keeps me alive; it keeps my team standing, finding beauty and hope amidst the chaos.
How do you see Lebanon's future?
No one knows what the future holds for Lebanon. But Lebanon is my hometown, and I’m here to stay and giving my best for this country. The Lebanese people deserve nothing but the best, and we all deserve a brighter future.
To overcome the fear and anxiety, what do you suggest to our readers?
Books: Some books by Ken Follet.
Series: Suits or House.
Music: My favorite, Fairouz.
Podcasts: Not really into it.
Any last words?
Tomorrow is a better day.
