We are pleased to invite you to the opening of A Return of the Sun on Thursday 18 May from 6 pm to 9 pm followed by a DJ Set at BAC Rooftop by Melissa Ghazale till 11 pm.

A Return of The Sun features works by 14 artists and artist groups who challenge given forms of violence, ones that are not always associated with a spectacle or an event. The exhibition explores various latent and out-of-sight violences in our environments, and ways to recognise, see and sense them. How can we start to account for these delayed effects so they don’t remain as an omnipresent agent of destruction and loss of life? Who can bear witness to these temporal and spatial calamities and what amounts from it? As revealing and witnessing do not limit the recurring cycles of violence, the exhibition presents artworks that expand on these questions and propose various forms of working through this insight and knowledge to better deploy in our present and future realities.
