In Hamlet by Shakespeare, the ghost of the King of Denmark tells his son Hamlet to avenge his murder by killing the new king, Hamlet's uncle. Hamlet feigns madness and seeks revenge. His uncle, fearing for his life, also devises plots to kill Hamlet. The play ends with a duel, during which the King, Queen, Hamlet's opponent and Hamlet himself are all killed.
In this version imagined by Gerard Avedissian, the play begins seconds before Hamlet dies. The play, here, unfolds as a flashback, with Hamlet speaking the text of Ophelia, Gertrude and all the other characters. So, what you will witness on stage is what takes place in Hamlet’s mind. It begins with his last speech and ends with his last speech.
