In black and white, 18 photographs reflect a year-long process of reconnecting with the city. Beirut, which once felt like home for Garvanian, now surfaces a non-reconcilable feeling of estrangement despite the memories he has wandering its streets. 

Somehow, it seems he has witnessed a loss, one of sense and sense of place.

Asadour Garvanian: A Sense of Place is the ninth of 10 exhibitions as part of CATAPULT.visual'arts, a partnership between British Council Lebanon and Artlab Gallery. The exhibition runs through October 13th, 2022.
