MATTEO EL KHODR, COUNTERTENOR
Born In Beirut From Greek Lebanese Origins, Raised In Paris. Studied In Ecole Normale De Musique De Paris With Baroque Singer Agnes Mellon. Winner Of Many Prestigious Prizes Accross Europe Like The Prix Du Concours De Chant Baroque De Froville, Prix Du Festival De La Chaise Dieu, The BIAF In Lebanon For Introducing The Baroque Style In His Country And The Countertenor Voice.
In 2008 He Released His Debut Album « Haute-Contre » With Universal Music France Then Did The Closing Concert In Festival Beiteddine In Lebanon. He Sang « Apollo Und Hyacinthus » By Mozart At La Philharmonie De Paris With Les Folies Francaises As A Creation Mondiale Then Released His Second Album: Live From St Petersburg. In 2015 He Is Mandane With Max-Emanuel Cencic In L’Opera De Nancy Part Of Leonardo Vinci’s Artaserse’s Production Along With Philippe Jaroussky, Franco Fagioli, Valer Sabadus And Yuri Minenko Under The Baton Of Diego Fasolis.
He Is Invited To Katara Opera House In Doha To Be The First Countertenor In The World To Sing There With The Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra. In 2020 He Represented Lebanon In The Voice France Then Is Ormindo In Francesco Cavalli’s Forgotten Opera. Again A Creation Mondiale That Got A Huge Success In Morocco And Berlin Metropol Opera. Starting January 2022, The Opera Ormindo Is Touring Europe On The Most Prestigious Opera Houses.
