Antonine University (UA) is thrilled to announce the highly anticipated return of the Chamber Music Season, resuming after a five-year hiatus with an unforgettable opening concert. This special evening will feature a piano recital by Tony Yike Yang, the youngest-ever laureate of the International Chopin Piano Competition, whose extraordinary talent has captivated audiences worldwide.

About Tony Yike Yang

Gaining international acclaim at just 16 years old, Tony Yang became the youngest-ever laureate of the International Chopin Piano Competition, where he won fifth prize in 2015. He has since garnered numerous awards, including prizes at the Van Cliburn, Gina Bachauer, and Hilton Head competitions, and performed at prestigious venues worldwide, such as Carnegie Hall, the Great Hall of the Moscow Conservatory, and Tokyo Metropolitan Theatre.

Yang has collaborated with renowned artists, including Geza-Hosszu Legocky and Lyda Chen-Argerich, and appeared with leading orchestras like the Cleveland Orchestra and the Warsaw Philharmonic. He has performed for royalty and dignitaries, including Queen Mathilde of Belgium and the Duchess of Cornwall.

A passionate advocate for music education, Yang has held advisory roles at major institutions in China and served on the jury of numerous international competitions. His debut album, featuring works by Chopin, was released on the Fryderyk Chopin Institute label in 2016. Currently, he is an Artist-in-Residence at the Ingesund Piano Center in Sweden.
