With Slutterhouse, Salloum was hailed as MTV Iggy’sBest New Artist in July 2011 (MTV International), “one of the finest electro-pop [acts] this critic has heard this Gary Numan first donned eye-shadow” (Time Out), “future pop classic” (GetIntoThis), and “much better than Daft Punk and Justice combined” (Prémonition Magasine), catching the attention and interest of Duran Duran’s Andy Taylor.
Salloum also fronted Slutterhouse around the world, including festivals like Liverpool Sound City, Dubai Sound City, Stockholm Fashion Week, NRJ Music Awards Copenhagen, Horseplay Festival London, and HOVI Fest Ibiza, sharing the stage with the likes of the Klaxons, Modjo, Lifelike, Sleigh Bells, Dan Black, and Super Furry Animals, and working with producers such as Eric Chedeville (Daft Punk, Sebastien Tellier, Charlotte Gainsbourg), and Dimitri Tikovoi (Placebo, Nick Cave, Sophie Ellis Bextor, Kill the Young.)
With Slutterhouse, Salloum released two studio albums and a remix EP – Made in Dance LP (2009) Inside the Station Remix EP (2010) Another Lie LP (2011), landing several sync deals (MTV 2, EA Sports), and having their songs played on US tastemaker radio stations, before the band split in 2012.
After a long hiatus, Rabih Salloum came back with new moniker Grave Jones in 2020, combining the electronic synthesizer world of Slutterhouse with the heavy guitar driven rock of his youth, delivering his trademark catchy melodies filled with nostalgia and melancholy.
Grave Jones has released several independent singles (Crazy Train, Young Lover, World Gone Mad, Without a Doubt), as well as three singles off his upcoming recordHeartrage Hotel:Smithereens, Heaven Only KnowsandLies.
Tamara Qaddoumi
Born and raised in the sleepy desert of Kuwait, Qaddoumi, Endowed with voice, melody and word, confronts the curious child within and tackles the quest for identity through expressive harmonic vocal layering, galactic synths, expressive drums and idiosyncratic guitar riffs, embracing the glitching dynamics inherent in electronics.
Qaddoumi’s hybrid Palestinian, Lebanese and Scottish upbringing makes up a stream of conscious questions and discoveries.
Traveling through complex melodic arrangements, weaving coils of desire and observation by exploring flawed circuits of emotion and creation.
Joe Pretzel
Born in a music loving family, Joe Pretzel discovers his passion for music, entertainment and performance at an early age.
