A contemporary art exhibition held for four Lebanese artists, Firas Hallak, Elsie Haddad, Charbel Samuel Aoun and Paul Gorra opens to the public on September 21st, 2024 from 12pm to 8pm. It will be held on Abdul Hamid Karameh Street (Al Tal) in Tripoli, Lebanon at Hotel Palace a heritage site built and the Ottoman era and developed during the French Mandate
The collective is a multidisciplinary cluster of artistic principles consisting of photography, installation and moving image, rendering itself a reflection of the vibrant and multilayered nature of the city in both form and subject.
The artists’ weaved narratives will be on public display at Hotel Palace during a month-long exhibition.
The future is the past and the past is the present. Like a rhizome not ending or beginning. Each of the artists is responding to a thematic approach to the exhibition as they explore the invisible cords connecting a modern society as it spreads through the city, stretching out into pathways, streets and corridors. In an attempt to map the labyrinth of Tripoli known for its rich diversity and unmatched willingness to challenge the notion of time, the exhibition of artistic works will put into context its cultural relevance and its historical influence nourished with images, stories and sounds that surface in the rooms of Hotel Palace.
