We are thrilled to announce that 'I'm Still Here' (Ainda Estou Aqui) is premiering in Lebanon on April 10 as the opening film of South Screens (Écrans du Sud) Festival, presented by Metropolis Cinema Association.

'I'm Still Here' harvested the Best International Film Oscar in 2025, and is resonating worldwide as a cinematic triumph. Its screening not only celebrates Brazilian cinema, but also highlights the role of film in amplifying voices from the Global South.

Directed by acclaimed Brazilian filmmaker Walter Salles, starring Fernanda Torres, Selton Mello, and Fernanda Montenegro, the film takes place in 1971, when Brazil was facing the tightening grip of a military dictatorship.

Movie is based on Marcelo Rubens Paiva's biographical book and tells a true family story that helped reconstruct an important part of Brazil’s hidden history.
