Intisar Foundation is a humanitarian UK-registered organization that operates in Lebanon and Jordan. It was founded in 2018 to provide Arab women with mental health support. Intisar Foundation is the first and only organization that works on the mental health of women using Drama Therapy in the Arab world. It exists to be part of the solution to bring peace to every woman by providing an initial response through psychological support programs of Drama Therapy.
Knowing that the holiday season is approaching, and the effect of the Beirut blast remains very prominent in the lives of the Lebanese citizens. Thus, the feeling of guilt concerning the holiday season is accompanied by anxious and stressful thoughts. Our Fundraising “Mental Health with Intisar Foundation: Coping with Trauma” event will be open to all attendees who want to benefit from various activities and tips on dealing with their emotions during this season. In addition, the event will be a safe place for the attendees to empower others and be empowered through the art of storytelling and playback theater.
The objective of this event is to raise awareness about the importance of mental health considering the recent events that befall our beloved country. The event will offer a chance for attendees to receive tips and support through the playback theater and free Drama Therapy group sessions. Additionally, the event will offer a chance to raise funds and donations for the Lebanese citizens through psychological programs offered by Intisar Foundation to people affected by the Beirut port explosion in parallel to the outreach to the local community.
