With a concern to preserve and celebrate the Levant’s rich musical heritage, Action for Hope have been working with eleven communities from Lebanon, Syria, Jordan and Iraq on a multi-year project to document folk music practices, capacity-build instrument makers and assist musicians in their career development. In addition to the trainings, research papers, music videos and upcoming website, the project produced a fascinating exhibition showcasing the diversity of Levantine folk instruments. 

After touring in Baghdad and Amman, we are pleased to host On the Tracks of Music for its Beirut edition. We curated a series of parallel concerts to accompany the interactive exhibition (see further below).

Opening: Sat Feb 1, 7pm with a live performance of traditional folk music
