Jihad Abousleiman (Beirut, Lebanon, 1953) is a lebanese-Dutch painter and writer who received his degree in philosophy and fine art from the Lebanese University in 1976. He furthered his studies in Paris, graduating from the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Beaux Arts in 1983, while also studying art history at the Sorbonne (Cum Laude). Abousleiman then moved to Amsterdam, where he completed his higher education at the University of Amsterdam in 1985.

Abousleiman employs a series-based approach in his paintings, allowing him to fully explore a concept and create a body of work that reflects his artistic vision. He uses expressive, layered colors to create a sensual structure that engages the viewer's senses and evokes aesthetic emotions.
He had solo exhibitions around the world mainly, in Beirut, Amsterdam, London, Antwerp and Sweden. He’s been part of group shows since 1988.
His works are part of very important public and private collections in the United States, Europe and the Middle East.
