Nadi Lekol Nas and the Sursock Museum will be presenting the film The Veiled Man on Friday 15 December from 19:00 to 20:30 by Lebanese filmmaker Maroun Baghdadi.

Pierre, a doctor, returns home after spending four years in Lebanon only wanting to reunite with his daughter. However, he is pressed to fulfill the terms of a contract he agreed to and that might put him at odds with his daughter.
Maroun Baghdadi (b.1950 - d.1993) was one of the best-known Lebanese filmmakers of his generation. He first studied law and political science at Saint Joseph University in Beirut and the Sorbonne University in Paris. Afterward, he studied cinema at the Institute for High Film Studies in Paris. He returned to Lebanon in 1973 where he produced many short documentary films offering a record of the Civil War. In 1991, he won a Jury Prize at the Cannes International Film Festival for Out of Life.
