On exhibit at the parlour throughout April is Tribute To Womanhood by @maral.paints

The legacy of depicting women was passed to her by her late mother Gülen’s artistic journey. She dedicated her lifelong work to tell stories about the strength that women hold within themselves and their bodies. Maral was inspired to celebrate the many roles women embody: the giver, the confidant, and the lover of life.

Maral Der Boghossian is Lebanese artist, born in 1976 in Paris from Armenian origin. She lives and works in Beirut and comes from a family of artists. She holds a master’s degree in Fine Arts from the Faculty of Fine Arts and Architecture of the Lebanese University.

To date, she has held 3 solo exhibitions: at the Goethe Institute (Beirut, 2002), at Cilicia Museum (Antelias, 2003), and in Alwane Gallery (Beirut, 2012). In 2001 she

was awarded as artist in residence in Vienna Austria under the patronage of UNESCO - Aschberg Fund.
