We are moving 21.5 meters up the street to a new space, and decommissioning the one we called home for the last 6 months. To commemorate this transition, we invited local artists to submit proposals for an installation or performance that would activate both spaces.

The chosen proposal is by Tarek Haddad and Laetitia Hakim.

Basing the work on a reimagined game of tug of war, Laetitia Hakim & Tarek Haddad attempt to reconcile distance and communication through a site-inspired performance. Tied at the two ends of a 21.5m rope – the exact distance between the two spaces, the artists will try to communicate together to create a piece while having to keep the rope extended at all times.

Performance will take place at 19:00 followed by a celebratory drink at the new space.
