Like a camera that suddenly captures an emotion and renders it eternal, zooming in on a pure and hidden sensation that materializes with colors and layers of emotions, life gains meaning, and even amidst the numerous empty spaces, those fragments of time are not lost. They maintain balance and bestow beauty upon what follows. They lend significance to those specific stories we yearn to grasp and preserve forever.
This is why that silence and space are interesting to depict. They are the tranquil location where we inhale to better catch the motion, the colors, and the myriad textures. It's the interplay of serenity and exquisite chaos. It's the gentle, nearly translucent substance that enriches the density.
It's the pure abstraction of life that anyone could experience at some point, in order to better embrace the memories and images, whether positive or negative, yet to be conceived.
BIOGRAPHY
The international award winning artist Zeina Nader was born in Lebanon. She graduated from the Saint Joseph University in Beirut with a degree in Communication Arts.
Instead of pursuing her promising career in the fields of theatre, cinema and photography, she chose to adopt her initial love and passion: painting and writing.
She indeed believes that all arts communicate.
Zeina exhibited her work, in solos, duos and collectives, all around the world in cities such as New York, Tokyo, Paris, London, Madrid, Milan, Monaco, Copenhagen and Bruges to name a few. She celebrated in 2022, her hundredth exhibition, which took place in Barcelona.
She is also an author and published four books about her art and travels. She is an art columnist at the international media: Ici.Beyrouth (in French) and This is Beirut (in English).
She speaks 5 languages and teaches art for students of all ages.
One of her large masterpieces (Acrylic on canvas, 150 cm x 150 cm), was officially acquired by the Peoria Riverfront Museum in the USA to be in their permanent collection.
Another painting (Acrylic on jute, 200 cm x 100 cm), was recently acquired by the London School of Economics in UK, to be displayed among their permanent public art collection. Her two art books are also now part of the public library of the same university.
Other artworks painted by Zeina are among several public and private collections, in Lebanese embassies and in the Presidential Palace in Lebanon.
To Zeina Nader, life itself is the greatest artwork to ever exist.
