We’re delighted to announce the upcoming solo exhibition by Lebanese contemporary painter Fatat Bahmad at Maya Art Space!

Born in Beirut in 1973, Fatat Bahmad is a painter whose work is a vivid tribute to the landscapes of Southern Lebanon. Her journey into art began during childhood, crafting shapes from buttons and threads—a quiet escape during times of conflict. After studying painting at the Lebanese University and later earning a Master’s in Education, Bahmad developed a style influenced by Impressionism, and expressionism.

Her canvases burst with color and emotion, capturing rolling hills, blooming flora, and coastal light with bold brushstrokes and expressive energy. Over the years, her work has been exhibited across Lebanon and the region, while she continues to teach art and live between Beirut and Kfar Melki, her enduring source of inspiration.
