How are you living your lockdown?
Lots lots of ups and downs specially in the beginning! This quiet time gave another meaning to life and a different way to perceive the world, humanity and the environment. I actuallyoffered some time for myself while reflecting, listening to my playlist, organizing every closet and drawer, cooking new and healthy recipes, sitting in the sun on my balcony for once, praying and exercising on zoom. This slow rhythm was new to me. I never enjoyed staying home and being disconnected from the whole world. I even created some photography tips videos to share with my audience on Instagram, worked on finalizing my website (www.saydejabra.com) and the best part is discovering nature’s gems with my family every week. What I couldn’t focus on is planning for new collaborations or projects because I had a sense of feeling that the working aspect will change its shape.
From your active life, what do you miss the most?
I miss hanging out with friends and spending time with my parents. I miss grabbing a quick bite after a long shoot and working on new projects with enthusiasm and passion without having limitations.
What don’t you miss?
I don’t miss that stressful, demanding and quick pace lifestyle. I don’t miss running for the future while not enjoying the present.I’m a person whose always on the go. I never have time for self-care or self-reflection so I’m grabbing every minute of this stay-at-home.
How do you think life will be after Corona?
This lockdown is a global awakening to reconsider our way of life and needs.
We will be facing different states of mind and adaptations, modified lifestyles and necessities.
In my opinion, business will switch to a digital era and production will turn into an ecofriendly system.
A word of encouragement to our readers
We are all in this same boat together. Let’s keep hoping andtrusting the universe.
Always be ready to accept and adapt to what this world will offer tomorrow.
Don’t forget that we exist for a purpose so live day by day and make the best out of it.
“Very little is needed to make a happy life; it is all within yourself, in your way of thinking “ Marcus Aurelius Antoninu.
What are your future projects?
Shifting my work of art into a different dimension.
